Hi Deepak Bedi, Yes it did made a bearish engulfing pattern yesterday. So any trader noticing that would have probably gone short today morning itself. Today price of Idfc did open below yesterday's close and came down. But then bull power emerged from 9:30 am onwards and pushed price higher resulting in a big white candle. though essentially bearish engulfing can be sold off, any prudent trader would look for confirmation with the formation of another black candle. This never happened today and anybody shorted in the opening was caught in the wrong foot. Remember, I said before that we should always look for confirmation after a pattern is made. The end result is that the bearish engulfing, though was there, is being negated today. Always it is better to not follow candlesticks alone but it should be done along with other technical indicators.
