The government has approved a higher price of gas for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's (ONGC's) C-Series fields in Mumbai offshore taking a step forward in its policy to bring all gas prices closer to market-determined rates.

The C-Series gas priced has been fixed at $ 5.25 per million British thermal unit (mmBtu), which almost a dollar higher than the price at which Reliance Industries sells gas from its fields in Krishna Godavari basin.

Reliance gets $ 4.215 per mmBtu for the gas it produces from KG-D6 fields. The price for ONGC is a tad lower than $ 5.5 per mmBtu which it had sought earlier, said a oil and gas ministry official.

The government had recently increased the price of gas sold at controlled price (administered price mechanism (APM) gas) by state owned upstream oil companies to $ 4.2 per mmBtu bringing it at par with KG D6 gas.

Natural gas produced from C-Series fields is sold to GAIL India, which further markets it to end users. ONGC began production from C-Series fields last month and is currently producing between 0.8 to 1.2 million standard cubic meters per day from the wells drilled so far.
The peak output from the field is expected to be 2.8 mmscmd after all the 15 wells are drilled after monsoon season.

Do you think we will touch again March 2009 low? Is there chance to see correction price wise about 20-30% in near future.

Sorry i am asking too much questions, but i had a long posiotion in ISPAT and MLL futures and i am siting overseas.

If there is chance to see sudden correction like Jan 2008 then i would like to send money in my indian bank account so at least i will be saved in my long positions in sudden fall and wouldn't incure huge losses in margin default.

Currently i have around 20% shares as a margin and 30% margin in a cash. Kindly advice what strategy i have to adopt. Because all the global market corrected around 10-12% in last 10 days including Australia where job market is quit good shape.

And about country I think most corrupt, recently I had a very bad experience, my
daughter want's to go for post graduation , and it seems in FREE INDIA one needs
domicile certificate, we are goans settled in Mumbai, my daughter is born n brought
in Mumbai, she got school living certificate, birth certificate and election card, but she is been refused D. certificate for we do not have ration card. In no where in law it is stated
that one needs R.Card for D.certificate. What is Domicile is a proof of nativity.
And that in the court a lawyer slapped a lady clerk in the court were the office of
D.Certificates are issued. Plus if u pay a bribe of 2000, no proof is needed for D.certificate.
Govt had recently coined a slogan about educating girls.

Now i heard that it is going to merge in rpower with a ratio of 5:1
so it means i got 20 shares of R.power which means 20x175(current r power price)=3500

so i have a loss of 9200-3500=5700
is my calculation correct.?
