Hi ift48624, i am replying to your query, E in CE or PE indicates European option which can be excercised only on expiry. It does not mean you can do nothing but definitely you can square off your position before expiry if you are in profit and want to book the same. In India, all index options are European type. Others are American Type where you find A in place of E. Here you can excercise as and when you want. but many dont use this option as you just get intrinsic value on excercise but you will also get time value also besides intrinsic value if you square off your positions. In India, stock options are American in nature. Am i right CB?

Hi ift48624,
You have to monitor carefully about Nifty Options such as CE, PE. These will give you the high profits and high loses. The values will be changed day to day. The values will be decreased drastically when nearing the expiry. You can square off them any time/ any day during the market running.
