Hi Kb, It is called day light change ...is the practice of temporarily advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn...Because in those countries they have shorter days in winter ..as it becomes dark around 4.30 pm and it is reverse in summer longer days daylight till 10.30.pm ..they have introduced this system ...they move forward the clock on a particular day in march and backwards in autumn
