FIIs offload equities worth Rs 4.52 cr
MUMBAI: Foreign Institutional Investors on Friday shed equities worth Rs 4.52 crore, amid weak trading sentiments which pulled the barometer index down.
In Friday’s market, FIIs were gross seller of shares worth Rs 1,143.64 crore and investors in equities valued at Rs 1,139.12 crore, resulting in a net sales of Rs 4.52 crore, according to the provisional data available on the Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE).
Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors which were net buyers this week, till yesterday, also shed equities worth Rs 184.02 crore.
Moreover, brokers invested in shares valued at Rs 51.39 crore and non-resident Indian entities bought shares worth Rs 0.49 crore. However, proprietors offloaded equities worth Rs 44.82 crore.
During the week, FIIs were net sellers of shares valued at Rs 208.82 crore, as per data on the website of BSE and Security and Exchange Board of India. The BSE benchmark Sensex today dropped over 260 points to close at 8,965.20 points.
