KEC International Q1 revenue crosses Rs 600cr
KEC International Ltd. (KEC) today reported first quarter ended June 30, 2008 revenue of Rs 600.15. crore versus last year’s figure for the corresponding period of Rs 511.60 crore. Net profit for the first quarter has gone up marginally from Rs. 25.31 crore to Rs. 25.50 crore.
The company’s order book position has risen markedly from Rs 3250 crore in 2007 to Rs. 4700 crore today. “I am delighted that our top line has, for the first time in the company’s history, crossed Rs. 600 crore in the first quarter. Further, the merger of NITEL and RPGT into KEC is most positive and the benefits will begin to be visible towards the end of this fiscal,” said Ramesh Chandak, Managing Director, KEC International Ltd.
The percentage growth figures are not given because they are not comparable to first quarter of last year. In fiscal 2007-08, RPG Transmission Ltd. (RPGT) and National Information Technologies Limited (NITEL) were merged into KEC. Thus, the current figures include the post merger KEC.
