Sensex, Nifty steady; Jindal Steel perks up

The NSE Nifty is now down 30 points at 4,472.
Jindal Steel have rallied nearly 5% to Rs 2,789.
Maruti and Tata Steel have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 1,240 and Rs 400, respectively.
IDEA has gained over 1% to Rs 75.
TCS has plunged 4.5% to Rs 478. GAIL has slipped 3.5% to Rs 326.
Suzlon has shed over 3% to Rs 91.
Mahindra & Mahindra, Sterlite, BHEL, DLF, ACC, ITC and NTPC are the other major losers.
Meanwhile, the Sensex is down 114 points at 15,076.
The market breadth continues to remain marginally negative – out of 2,670 stocks traded so far, 1,360 have declined, and 1,224 have advanced.
