WIL posts revenue up by 24.7% to Rs 156.51cr

Walchandnagar Industries Limited (WIL) today announced strong results for the first quarter ended December 31st 2007.

* The revenue reached Rs. 156.51 Crores against Rs. 125.52 Crores in the corresponding quarter previous year, a growth of 24.7%
* Profit before Tax reached Rs. 14.82 Crores against Rs. 11.28 Crores, registering a growth of 31.4%.

Looking to the growth opportunities available in the market and various initiatives being considered, the Board of Directors have passed an enabling resolution recommending the raising of strategic funds of around Rs. 850 crores by issuance of equity shares to Qualified Institutional investors as also warrants to the promoters on preferential basis.
