SRL Ranbaxy Limited, India’s Largest Pathology Laboratory Network, has been rechristened Super Religare Laboratories Limited (SRL). This is a move to leverage the trust and credibility the Religare brand enjoys in the financial services domain to the other service businesses of the group. The strategy here is to make best use of.. cross synergies and to tap its reach and network to take the business to the next level of growth.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Sunil Godhwani, spokesperson on behalf of the promoter group and CEO & MD of Religare Enterprises Limited said, “The rebranding exercise is a significant move to take our interest in diagnostics/laboratories space to the next level. Religare is a respected and trusted brand across the country in the financial services domain. We intend extending the brand values and brand equity to various services within our promoter group, encompassing diagnostics, wellness retail and IT technology”.

Currently, the Religare brand umbrella comprises diversified business like financial services, Religare Enterprises Limited being the holding company for the same. IT services operated under the Religare Technova brand umbrella. Earlier this month, Fortis Healthworld Ltd was also rechristened Religare Wellness, thus extending the Religare brand to wellness retail. The promoter group’s air charter and travel business is held through the holding company Religare Voyages Ltd, thus Religare being the umbrella brand.
