S. Kumars Nationwide Ltd (SKNL), India’s leading multi-fibre, multi-segment diversified Textile Company, announces its results for the third quarter ended 31st December, 2007.S. Kumars Nationwide Limited announced its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 Sales for the quarter was Rs. 453.07 crores.

On the back of 44.2% growth in turnover to Rs 453.07 crores from the previous years corresponding quarter figure of Rs 314.29 crores, operating profit rose to Rs 103.92 crore, a growth of Rs 58.4%. Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter stands at Rs 57.20 crores against a corresponding figure of Rs 33.21 crore indicating an increase of 72.2 %. Operating margin has improved to 22.9% from 20.9%.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Nitin S Kasliwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, SKNL said “The company would maintain its growth momentum through continued thrust on its existing businesses. Our concentration on the domestic market has permitted us to expand market share and more importantly protect margins.”

Q3 2007 Snapshot:

1) Net Sales from operations was Rs 453.07 crores for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as against Rs 314.29 crores for the previous year in the same quarter.

2) Profit Before Tax was Rs 64.68 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as against Rs 37.62 crores for the previous year in the same quarter.

3) Net Profit after Tax was Rs 57.20 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as against Rs 33.21.Crores for the previous year in the same quarter.
