Pyramid Saimira Group, the world’s fastest growing entertainment conglomerate has announced the appointments of Prakash Iyer as Head, Finance and Business Development and Naveen H as General Manager, Games Arcades & Retail Business. Prakash Iyer, who will be based in New York, would be in charge of various business verticals within the Group, as well as all International Business Development initiatives for the Group. Naveen will be based in Bangalore and will oversee the complete operation of Pyramid Saimira’s Games Arcade.

Speaking on the appointments, Mr. P. S. Saminathan, Chairman & Managing Director, Pyramid Saimira Group, said “We are right now in the process of consolidating all our business divisions, as well as the respective management teams. In this scenario, it is extremely crucial for us to identify the right talent to take over the positions of responsibility. The people we are recruiting have established track records as growth-drivers and a very positive attitude and this is what we need to sustain the company’s growth. We are very global in our outlook and focus. Prakash, who will operate from New York, the financial capital of the world will add depth and quality to our financial closures. Naveen is a proven talent in the business of bringing projects to fruition. Pyramid Saimira has more than 7 million square feet under operational management and we expect to touch 250 million footfalls this fiscal. Naveen will help us to effectively use the varied customer-touch points, which will help us improve our profitability, with the gaming and merchandizing businesses being significant draws.”

Prior to joining Pyramid Saimira, Prakash Iyer established and served as the President of VXL Services Inc, a business consulting services company specializing in providing accounting, taxation, consulting and human resources services to corporate and individual clients, based in New Jersey. Previously, he was associated with Star TV, India; MCS Software Solution Limited, India; The News Corporation, North America and PriceWaterhouse Coopers, India, amongst others. Prakash holds a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from the Boston University, USA and is a Certified Public Accountant from the Illinois State Board of Accounting. Prakash is also a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completed his Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce from Mumbai University.

Naveen was with Sify as the Business Head, Online Games before he joined Pyramid Saimira. Initially based in Mumbai, he was instrumental in establishing Gamedrome, Sify’s game centre chain. He also created A3 India, India’s first 3D Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), followed by

Nostale, Sify’s second MMORPG. Recently, he launched Antzill.com, Sify’s Casual Game Portal. Before joining Sify, Mr. Naveen served with Maruti Udyog as an executive for close to four years. Mr. Naveen has a Masters’ Degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelors’ Degree in engineering from Bangalore University.
