Euro Ceramics Ltd (ECL), a leading manufacturer of Vitrified Tiles, Calcareous Tiles & Aluminium extruded Sections has posted excellent results for the 3rd Quarter ended December 31, 2007 (Q3-2007-08). On a consolidated basis, Total income increased to Rs. 91.50 crores for Q3 2007-08 as compared to Rs. 56.85 crores for the corresponding quarter in the previous year, a growth of 61%. Earnings before Depreciation, Interest & Tax (EBDITA), a key profitability measure also increased by 54% to Rs. 26.47crores from Rs. 17.24 crores in the corresponding quarter. During the quarter (Q3-2007-08), EBDITA margin was healthy at 31.53%.

Overall, Profit before Tax (PBT) for Q3-2007-08 increased to Rs 14.46 crores (as against Rs 10.60 crores for the corresponding previous quarter) and Profit after Tax (PAT) increased to Rs. 9.61crores (as against Rs. 7.13 crores in the corresponding previous quarter). For the nine months ended December 31, 2007 the net turnover was up by 45% and EBIDTA was up by 46% on a consolidated basis.

ECL manufactures Vitrified Tiles, Calcareous Tiles, and Aluminium extruded Sections at its state-of-the-art facility at Bhachau (Kutch) with technology from world leaders SACMI of Italy and trades in Wall tiles through a wholly owned subsidiary company. In view of the construction boom in the country, it is expected that Euro will continue to maintain its growth trend in the coming years.
