Corporation Bank goes Global
The domestically strong Corporation Bank opened its first ever overseas Representative Office at Dubai on 22nd September 2008. The Representative Office was inaugurated by H.E.Saeed Abdullah Al-Hamiz, Central Bank of the UAE. Shri Venu Rajamony, Consul General of India, Indian Consulate, Dubai, UAE was the Chief Guest and Shri B.Sambamurthy, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank presided over the inaugural function.
The opening of Representative Office marks the beginning of the Bank’s international presence. The Bank aims to convert this representative office into a full-fledged branch in course of time. With this, the Bank is planning to enlarge its presence in other parts of Middle East too and cater to the vast NRI segment.
Besides Middle East, the Bank intends to open its offices in China and Europe shortly. With a web of Representative Offices, the Bank envisages to have better engagement with NRI community. Ultimately, it intends to offer financial solution required for global presence.
