CII IGBC awards LEED Platinum to Shree Ram Urban Infra

On the first day of the Green building Congress held in Mumbai today, CII-IGBC announced that Shree Ram Urban Infrastructure’s landmark project – Palais Royale, Worli, Mumbai – had obtained the prestigious LEED Platinum pre-certification. LEED Platinum is the highest ever green building standard in the world and Palais Royale is the largest (2.5million sq.ft) residential building in India to receive this rating.

Mr. Vikas Kasliwal, Vice Chairman, Shree Ram Urban Infrastructure stated, “We are extremely honoured to have received the LEED Platinum pre-certification from CII-IGBC. When we embarked on this project, we did extensive research on green buildings globally and decided that we will create India’s first residential green building project of the highest standards. Our engineering, design and architecture team has worked extremely hard to ensure that we qualify to achieve the stringent guidelines set by IGBC. I’m happy that the team’s efforts have been recognized by the industry. This is just the beginning of the journey and we hope to contribute to the green building footprint in India”.
