3i Infotech’s revenue grows by 82% to Rs 323.4cr

3i Infotech, a global provider of IT solutions and one of India’s largest software product companies*, today announced its operating results for the period ended December 31, 2007.

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

Consolidated results for the nine months ended December 31, 2007:

§ Revenue for the nine months was Rs 871.5 crores, a growth of 89.5 % over the corresponding period of the previous year.

* Profit before depreciation, Interest and Tax (including other income) for the nine months was Rs 225 crores, a growth of 86.3 % over the corresponding nine months period of the previous year.
* Profit after tax for the nine months was Rs 133 crores, a growth of 83.6 % over the corresponding nine months period of the previous year.
* Earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 9.78 from Rs 6.21** in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Consolidated results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007:

* Revenue for the quarter was Rs 323.4 crores, a growth of 82 % over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
* Profit before depreciation, Interest and Tax (including other income) for the quarter was Rs 85 crores, a growth of 74.4 % over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
* Profit after tax for the quarter was Rs. 49.6 crores, a growth of 77.6 % over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
* Earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 3.64 from Rs. 2.42 ** in the same quarter of the previous year.

Commenting on the results, Mr. V. Srinivasan, Managing Director & CEO, 3i Infotech, said, “The quarter has seen good growth in revenue and profits, in line with our business plans. While international market dynamics pressurized businesses the world over, our balanced global growth with a de-risked business model has helped us in continuing to grow without being significantly impacted by these events”.

Business Highlights: During the quarter, 3i Infotech:

· Announced the launch of its first International Data Centre (IDC), which will offer managed hosting services for application and disaster recovery solutions.

· Associated with the Government of Haryana for e-Disha Ekal Seva Kendra Project

· Acquired a majority stake in M/s Linear Financial & Management Systems Private Limited (Linear), a Delhi based BPO (Transaction services) company.

· Completed the J&B Software India Private Limited acquisition, which has given us a substantial presence in the space of payment processing solutions.

Awards and Accolades: During the quarter 3i Infotech:

· Won the Australian Banking & Finance – Insurance Awards 2007 for Service Provider of the Year

· Ranked third largest EAS vendor in the MENA region by IDC, after Oracle and SAP

· Won the prestigious “Growth Strategy Leadership Award for Mid-Market Enterprise Application” from Frost & Sullivan, India & South Asia. This is the third time that 3i Infotech has been recognized by F&S for its contribution to the Indian ICT industry.
