is it must to cover up (buy back) the sold option position?
I had sold Dr Reddy's May month 2450 CA @ 10 last week
Today it expired @0.10 paise or Zero.
Is it must for me to cover? Or its fine since its expired worthless. Please share your knowledge. Thanks.

Hi cvrprakash, If you have sold the options you have already paid the STT so you dont have to worry about paying STT while buying your options back either on the exchange or when it expires in the money.
Whoever holds a buy option position which is expiring in the money has to pay the increased STT on expiry if he doesn’t sell it on the exchange.
