Nifty hits fresh 52-wk high at 5181

Nifty manged to closed at 5,114 ending 27 points lower. Sensex slipped 103 points closing at 17,223.

Nifty made a 52-wk high of 5181, and a Intraday low of 5,102 on Tuesday. It finally ended at 5,144. Sensex on the other hand made a Intraday high of 17,457 and a low of 17,185. Markets opened positive due to the rally in Global Markets, but failed to sustain higher levels.

Nifty tough crossed its resistance of 5180, it was not able to hold and saw some profit booking at 5181, which dragged it down by almost 30 points. The 52-wk high for Sensex stands at 17,493.

FII’s today too made a net purchase of 276cr, while DII’s where 141cr. Nifty should take a pause at current levels in order to make a strong move in future.

Reliance-RNRL case was adjourned to Wednesday. Shares of Reliance Industries slipped 2% to end at Rs 2,183. On the other hand, shares of RNRL gained by 1.2% to end at Rs 87.90.

Realty Index was the top gainer in BSE by managing a gain of 0.90%, the top loser being OIL & GAS which closed -1.70% down.

Pipavav Shipyard signed a contract with ONGC for an amounting to 5.1 bn, tough the shares of Pipvav Shipyard closed 0.10 paise down.

Reliance Infrastructure too won a project worth 5.9 bn in Rajasthan

Coming to the Global markets Europe(CAC 40) ended 21 points down at 3,870, U.K(FTSE 100) Markets closed at 5,254 ending 27 points lower.
